Industry Spotlight: Youth Pre-Apprenticeship Construction Program
The Youth Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program was a free 5-week training course designed for Solano County residents’ ages 18-24 years old interested in the Construction trades. Participant training included: four industry certifications, HAZWOPER certification, and fundamentals in construction, concrete pouring techniques, trades math, fitness and more. Upon completion of the program, participants are eligible for direct placement opportunities with potential starting wages in excess of $19.00/hr.
On August 3rd, 2018 a graduation ceremony was held at Vacaville High School to recognize the trainees for their completion of the program. Good luck to all the graduates as they embark on their new journey in the construction trades!
